Muscari latifolium

(25 cm) Indigo blue grape with somewhat larger light blue flowers at the top. (Oxford and Cambridge) say the English because of the club colours. Gracefully straight stem with only one or two narrow leaves. Beautiful in airy groups under, for example, cinnamon-coloured azaleas. Also long-flowering in boxwood beds, possibly mixed with tulips such as ‘Continental’, ‘sylvestris’ or ‘Springgreen’. These grapes return without any problems. Flowering time: April-May
