Madonna lily, flowering time June-July. Plant this lily that has been known for centuries very shallow in a sunny spot. Unlike ordinary lilies (which want 15 cm of soil on the bulb), Lilium candidum only wants 2 cm deep. Choose chalky not too dry fresh soil. This lily is also widely used in tubs.
