Camassia leightlinii ‘Caerulea’

4,508,00

(80 cm)

Deep blue Starflowers on sturdy stems in May-June. Good in grass, for example with lady’s mantle (Alchemilla mollis), storey primula and hosta. Nice small leaves. Cut off dried flowers and lift the bulbs once in July after a few years to plant wider for generous re-flowering. Put 10 cm of soil on the bulb and plant at least 15 cm apart so that the plants can dry well after rain and remain sturdy.  Camassias , native to North America, are at their best in places that are not too dry.
