(25 cm) Arum named after the Greek surgeon Dioscorides around 1800 with brown-black flowers with green-white spots. The plant has arrow-shaped green leaves, which emerge as early as winter. Naturally found in forests in Turkey, Cyprus and the Middle East, among other places. Good for shade but also likes the warmth of the sun.
